Just a yellow lemon tree

I figured I should supply an explanation about my custom header (and it’s not a yellow lemon tree). Before, I had one of our purple lilies as the tiny header, now I’ve decided to pick a theme that can display a much larger header. I settled on this one. See the hints of the blueish purple in the sides of the picture? The leaves may be green, but there are hints of my blog’s background hidden inside.

Yes, I took this picture. I’ve been receiving comments lately that I am a pretty good photographer. I always considered myself to be amateur, but now I’m starting to think differently (it’s my own skill, or the camera’s).

Anyway, this is a tree that I have been gazing at for years whenever I sit by the campfire. I knew I had to capture its innocent beauty before fall rolled around and stole the green from its leaves and then proceeded to steal its leaves completely. The branches of this tree sort of fan out to cover nearly ever nook and cranny of the sky above it. Peeking in-between the leaves in some places is the blue sky, but the green dominates. It’s a beautifully simple tree, and I absolutely adore it. I don’t know why. I have no explanation. I just do.
